Kate Middleton at Risk of Anorexia

Kate Middleton at Risk of Anorexia

Is Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is suffering from Anorexia, or is she at risk of contracting anorexia nervosa?

Today, English researchers completed a study about people with eating disorders and claimed that patients suffering with such disorders and specially with anorexia nervosa, have an increase risk of death.

On the other hand, an Italian expert, Fabiola De Clercq claimed that the 29-year-old beautiful and gracious Duchess of Cambridge is at a high risk of contracting anorexia nervosa. Fabiola De Clercq is the founder of Association for the Study and Research of Anorexia in Italy.

The expert in Rome, Italy said, "You only need look at the pictures from the current visit to Canada to see that she really has lost a lot of weight and that she's bordering on anorexia."

Kate Middleton and Prince Williams are at a tour of Canada and the US which began on June 30.

Fabiola De Clercq informed that Kate Middleton opted for a low-carbohydrate diet much before her marriage.

Now the Italian researcher worries that Kate is reaching the boundary line and may contract anorexia.

In between January 2006 and September 2010, a huge number of research studies were performed and published about the issues of eating disorders.

The English researchers stressed over 36 major such studies that were specifically concerned about anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa.

Anorexia nervosa is such a situation where an anorexic patient mistakenly believes that he or she is fat and that prompts them to work for losing weight. As a consequence, they start eating less and lesser.

Bulimia nervosa is exactly opposite situation that prompts the patient to overeat and purge the excessive food either by vomiting it out or by using laxatives.

During their study, the British researchers observed 17,272 patients who were suffering either by anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or other eating disorder.

They found that 755 patients of the total patients died because of these disorders.

After further analyses, they found that among each 1000 patients per year, 5.1 deaths occurs among those who are suffering with anorexia nervosa, while 1.7 such people die who are suffering with bulimia nervosa.

On the other hand, other eating disorders become reason for 3.3 deaths per thousand patients.

The result clearly showed that anorexia nervosa is the cruelest killer among all the eating disorders. Thus, the observation of Fabiola De Clercq about the Duchess of Cambridge is certainly alarming.

However, the expert from Italy believes that Kate Williams will remain in better situations to avoid any mishap because of her closer to anorexic situations.

Her main concern is about what effect the super-slender Kate Williams could have on young women?

Fabiola De Clercq is a well known health activist of Italy. She said, "As happens increasingly often in the case of fashion models, the young duchess's appearances risk becoming an advert for anorexia."

De Clercq further said, "Today, even women aged 45-50 dream of being like svelte 15-year-olds.”

It seems logically true that celebrities should remain a little more attentive towards their life styles, patterns and behavior because many a times, they remain in a position to influence a big mass of youngsters.

It seems that the beautiful Duchess of Cambridge also found herself entrapped in the web of desire to look super-slim. However, this is certainly not a healthy stage.

The British researchers have further studies that among all anorexic patients, those in their late teens and early 20s suffer higher death rate than younger patients or those who are in their 30’s.

Among anorexia patients, those in their late teens and 20s had a higher death rate than younger patients or those in their 30s. The study has been published in the July issue of the journal Archives of General Psychiatry

For teen girls who try to look slimmer than what is considered healthy, busty girls always seem more seductive, beautiful, sexier and healthy, and by nature, every man feels attraction towards a healthy female body.
